Synopsis:
The miser wants to marry off his son to a wealthy widow and marry off his daughter to a rich older man. Not surprisingly, his feisty offspring have other ideas and long to escape from his penny pinching household and marry their respective lovers. But with the help - or hindrance - of the very unreliable servants, things get much more complicated!
THE MISER was originally written by Moliere in 1668 but it’s still a very funny play today. This brilliant new adaptation by J.J. Mills sets it firmly in the 20th century and an evening of laughter for all the family is guaranteed.
Returning by popular demand, the 2009 Fringe saw us reprise our Church Hill Theatre production from March that year. This time, Graham Bell played the part of Lafleche.
